In an attempt to make each piece responsibly, we ensure fair trade practices for our workers, source the fabric responsibly and undertake ethical practices through all the steps of the process.
Manufacturing and quality control
All our pieces are designed, cut and stitched in-house at our workshop at Shahpur Jat by the trained hands of masterji and his assistants, under the supervision of Ankita. Each piece is made to order, ensuring minimal waste generation. The garments are sewn to perfection keeping in mind the needs of different body shapes and sizes. Strict quality control measures are undertaken and enforced in regards to the construction, waste management and other sustainable practices.
Dyeing and Printing
Printing Technique
We get our customised designs printed on fabrics using the screen printing technique. The prints are brought to life by the artisans in their workshops in Gharoli, Delhi.Dyes
They use water based ink which is made of water instead of plastic or PVC. The only ingredients being water and colour pigment makes it a very eco friendly option besides offering an incredibly smooth and soft hand feel.MINIMAL WASTE
Usage of Scraps
We make all the efforts at minimising waste at the Little Things Studio. Patterns are cut in ways that help reduce generation of waste scraps.
Accessories like masks, gloves, hats and sometimes bags are made from upcycling the leftover fabrics.
YOU BUY ONE, WE GIVE ONE. For every mask purchased we donate a mask to the people who need it the most during these trying times.
Plastic Free Packaging
We use 100% plastic free packaging which comprises paper bags, paper wraps, paper strings and organically produced fabric. Our garment labels are constructed out of 100 percent cotton fabric.
Artisanal Ties
With utmost care and attention, we have collaborated with weavers and artisans from different parts of the country after visiting their workshops and ensuring that they undertake only ethical practices. Safe working conditions, fair wages, encouragement and improvement of their skills, opportunities, and economic conditions is ensured for all.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR DISADVANTAGED PRODUCERS
Poverty reduction through trade forms a key part of the organisation's aims. We assist vulnerable artisans and weavers from West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat to move from income insecurity and poverty to economic self-sufficiency and ownership. Offering fair wages creates demand encourages the younger generation to take up the craft.
TRANSPARENCY & ACCOUNTABILITY.
The organisation is transparent in its management and commercial relations with all the employees, artisans and craftsmen. The organisation finds appropriate ways to involve employees, members and producers in its decision-making processes regarding the choice of fabric, designs, prints and patterns. The final products are a collaborative effort between masterji, all the craftsmen and Ankita.
FAIR TRADE PRACTICES
Little Things Studio shows concern for the social, economic and environmental well-being of the marginalised producers. It is responsible and professional in meeting its commitments in a timely manner. Suppliers respect contracts and deliver products on time and to the desired quality.
FAIR PAYMENT
A fair price is offered to all the workers that has been mutually agreed by all through dialogue and participation. The prices are such that they can be sustained by the market, taking into account equal pay for men and women and a Local Living Wage.
NO CHILD LABOUR. NO FORCED LABOUR
No child is involved in any step of production to sale in a way which is hazardous and detrimental to their health and well being. No forced or bonded labour is practiced. All the employments, contracts and projects are take ahead only on the basis of mutual consent and agreement.
NO DISCRIMINATION. GENDER EQUALITY. FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION
The organisation does not discriminate in hiring, remuneration, access to training, promotion, termination or retirement. The organisation has a clear policy and plan to promote gender equality .
GOOD WORKING CONDITIONS
The organisation provides a safe and healthy working environment for employees and / or members. The studio has masterji, some artisans, managerial employees and the head working under the same roof in the same working conditions, ensuring health and safety for all.
CAPACITY BUILDING
The organisation seeks to increase positive developmental impacts for producers and other collaborators. We work directly with small dyers, printers, weavers, farmers and other craftsmen to help them improve their management skills, production capabilities. and access to markets.
PROMOTE FAIR TRADE
We want to raise awareness about the aim of Fair Trade and of the need for greater justice in world trade through Fair Trade through our website and our social media handles.
RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
We maximise the use of raw materials from sustainably managed sources ,buying only locally. We use production technologies that seek to reduce energy consumption and where possible use renewable energy technologies that minimise greenhouse gas emissions.
